Why is it needed?
Both education and learning are life time processes, they have no limit on when to start and stop. In our daily lives we learn new things and this helps us in changing the way we live. It is very important to make education accessible at any time by everyone. Information technology has the ability of speeding up information delivery, so this ability can be used in improving our education environment. With the implementation of Information Technology, costs of accessing educational material are cut down and it makes it easy to learn from anywhere.
New technologies are changing the way we learn and they have also changed the process of teaching. Both teachers and students are using these new educational technologies to archive specific academic goals.
Establishment of IT learning resource centre
Keeping above necessities in mind IHIS has established an IT Learning Resource Centre in November 2017 to provide the IT aid to the teachers.
What is IT learning resource centre?
IT learning resource centre is a facility within a school, staffed by an IT specialist, containing several Information Technology resources. For example Desktops, Laptops, Projectors, Printers, Scanners, Stationeries for printing etc.
Facilities
All required resources are available in the resource centre with one dedicated IT professional to provide aid in printing material, transferring documents, making projects, marking student attendance, entering marks, generating results, assigning subjects and language to the students and all related works in school’s ERP.
